CONCEPT ART
In this instance we speak of illustrations that – besides intending to express the mood of the film – seek to portray the world told by the story. The role of concept design is twofold. On one hand they serve as the basis for set designs and architectural drawings, on the other hand the completed visual documents provide a reference point for the crew.
STORYBOARD
The simplest storyboards are those that depict the key moments of a scene frame by frame. The traditional storyboard has the advantage of offering an overview of the whole film; it lays down the plot and is able to outline the moods, thus providing a fundamental visual reference.
ANIMATICS
There is a possibility to document the length of the scene and camera movement in advance if we produce a 3D storyboard. We can precisely plan more complicated scenes, the visibility of the set, the range set by the physical parameters of the camera, or the length of the told story.
SET DESIGN
Set design has a key role to plan the physical surroundings of the movie. The overall documentation of the built world is essential to serve the director's concetp of the imagined production.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
As part of the visual communication graphic design has a significant role not just in movie making but also in the corporate world to express our surroundings and thoughts with symbols signs interfaces or even only with well placed words.
